Kurt Apitz

edit

By the grace of Google, there is actually very little we know about Kurt Apitz. Anyone who knows more about this proto-haematologist is invited to comment! JFW | T@lk 17:57, 26 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

There is a page on German Wikipedia by the same name de:Kurt Apitz. Adequate information can be found from that page after translation using Google translate. DiptanshuTalk 13:36, 2 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

m component

edit

m component links here but is not defined. Please define it. Tkjazzer (talk) 20:28, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is a synonym. "M protein" or "M component" refers to the monoclonal fraction of the total protein. Feel free to mention it. JFW | T@lk 05:48, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Opening sentence and definition

edit

Shouldn't the first sentence be amended to say: A paraprotein is a protein in the urine or blood... instead of simply saying A protein in the urine or blood...? I'm no expert, but this would seem to be more in line with the standard Wikipedia format, and besides it would improve the readability of the article. Thoughts? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Myceteae (talkcontribs) 05:05, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
