Notability
editTo extablish notability of this organization, verification is required that it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. All content must be verifiable. Further guidance is given in Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Note that the burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and if no reliable, third-party sources can be found for an article topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it. . . dave souza, talk 19:50, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
This article names several individuals as past or present office holders without citing any WP:RS to support the assertions. Even the PA's site indicates only a few of them, though of course it must be considered only a primary source for this purpose. Assuming they are alive (is that's a job requirement for this group?) then WP:BLP rules pertain. LeadSongDog come howl! 19:29, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Incongruous photo of William James
editAn image of William James, who died 47 years before the founding of the Parapsychological Association, scarcely seems relevant to the topic. Consider removing it. --Beamjockey (talk) 17:24, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
Dinesh D'Souza referred to Margaret Mead's support of PA
editDinesh D'Souza wrote The End of Racism, 1995, and in discussing Margaret Mead he cited her support of the Parapsychological Association and remarked that, compared to the branches of science represented in the AAAS, it was the least productive or the most non-performing branch. Biology, physics, computer technology have of course grown by leaps and bounds, but parapsychology remains in the same questionable muddle. It may be instructive to locate a quote to bring out this aspect. 66.241.130.86 (talk) 14:35, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
