Park Fire - affected counties
editCal Fire and Watch Duty both list Butte, Plumas, Shasta, & Tehama counties as counties affected by the Park Fire, because evacuation warnings and/or orders have been issued in all of those counties. Please note that this does not mean the fire has actually progressed into each of those counties. The fire is limited to Butte and Tehama counties, and the infobox and lead should only list those two as the actual location of the fire. See Cal Fire's incident updates, which break the burned acreage down by county. @Sunsetcityy Penitentes (talk) 19:35, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
Thank you!
editI just wanted to thank Penitentes for the lovely map they made and everyone for contributing to this article! Sunsetcityy (talk) 18:54, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, that's very kind! I've just updated the map to reflect the most recent fire perimeter (from this morning) and tweak some stuff for aesthetics. I'll keep updating it every day or two as we get new perimeters. — Penitentes (talk) 02:52, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Cool picture for infobox
editI found a really cool photo for the thumbnail photo but I don’t know how to get permission to use it, is it copyrighted? Sunsetcityy (talk) 01:07, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Also the whole photo album is great for photos! Sunsetcityy (talk) 01:15, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
Containment
editAccording to CAL FIRE, the Park Fire has already been 100% contained on Sept.26 of 2024. The Growth and Containment Table needs to be updated. RaschenTechner (talk) 19:59, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- I've updated the table and added a CBS News article for the source. — Penitentes (talk) 20:55, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
