Title?
editShould this page be moved to Lincoln Park (Mexico City)? ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:03, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- @MX: Any thoughts here? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:30, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, "Parque" means Park. The translation is backed up by English-language sources. There are multiple Lincoln Parks in other parts of this hemisphere and I think keeping it under this format makes sense (like Lincoln Park (Los Angeles), for example). MX (✉ • ✎) 19:44, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- @In ictu oculi: Does this page move seem appropriate? ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:36, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- Keep "Parque Lincoln" as the article title, as that is how it is referred to in most English language books, although some provide a translation in parentheses. --Bejnar (talk) 16:05, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Parque Lincoln → Lincoln Park (Mexico City) – English name for English Wikipedia, no? --Another Believer (Talk) 22:44, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- Comment. I've seen several similar request. Before you continue with such nominations, @Another Believer:, there is something called WP:UE. English Wikipedia does not go by "English name", it goes by what secondary sources say. What are the sources for this? © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 23:00, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Tbhotch: The link you shared is helpful, thanks. I'll be honest, I don't actually have a preference for English or Spanish, I was just trying to go with the title English-language speakers are more likely to use when searching for information. If my argument is flawed for any of my nominations, by all means, please close them. In the meantime, I'll stop requesting moves for the Spanish-language titles I see here at English Wikipedia. I just visited Mexico, hence my recent edits to some of the articles covering sites I saw during my trip. ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:07, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. No evidence that the translation is used for this particular park in English secondary sources. The only English reference currently given in the article calls it Parque Lincoln, and appears to be a secondary source. Nom appears to have innocently (and repeatedly) misunderstood our article naming policy. Andrewa (talk) 01:14, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
