School Moto
editCan a Parrs Woodian please take a picture of the school moto that is posted near the staff room? That way, we can remove the {fact} comment from that part! I would, but I'd rather not have to enter that school ever again, if I can avoid it... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kjfletcher (talk • contribs) 03:13, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
"We are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." was never the school motto, it was simply a quote that the then Headteacher (Sir Iain Hall) liked, hence it's prominent placement. At the same time as it was sign written, a number of other quotations were sign written in other locations around the school (for example at several locations down the main mall above the lockers). Admittedly it did make it onto the school headed paper... ~Bin~talk 18:44, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Edits by user Jackstonian
editI have today removed the section added to the school page at the request of the Head Teacher:
Could you please contact Wikipedia to ask them to remove this entry as it is factually incorrect. Thanks and regards, Andy Shakos Head Teacher - Parrs Wood High School
I am not privy to the details, but this seems to be a case of internal politics spilling over into a public forum.

- Shakos has an obvious conflict of interest. That said: I have cautioned Jackstonian that such allegations as he has made must be accompanied by the requisite reliable sources, since a number of living persons are involved, or they will continue to be removed. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:33, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
If Mr Shakos is correct perhaps he would like to comment on what is factually incorrect about the entry. A school governor was suspended in June 2013 from the governing body. True or false? They were the same school governor who won a Judicial Review against the school for a previous unlawful suspension. True or false? The governor was reinstated two weeks later in June 2013 due to the intervention of Parliament. True or false? School Governor Councillor Jeff Smith has previously removed entries of controversy about the school from this page true or false? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackstonian (talk • contribs) 16:27, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
New headteacher
editWhile there are a few references out there saying that the Head was due to change, I cannot find any to say that it has actually happened.
Edubase, which the school have the ability to update, still list the old head. There is nothing in the local newspapers and the school website doesn't mention it.
I don't think we can change it as long as the reliable sources still list the old head. CalzGuy (talk) 14:49, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- Updated the Head Teacher as the school have now updated the school website and EDUbase. ~Bin~talk 20:34, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
