Focus of Article

Although Bach is most famously associated with partitas, this article should be about the form, not about the two compositions (for violin and keyboard). I have removed the duplicated content, and set up the links to the two pages for Bach's partitas, which is where any composition-specific content should be marked up. This is not the place to note specific performances of Bach's Violin partitas. Eusebeus 11:14, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

There are also the Chorale Partitas (Partite diverse) of Bach (BWV 766–768) and, before him, Georg Böhm. I think there's also discussion missing about the origins of the term (division). --JTL 07:16, 05 April 2009 (EDT)

Citation needed tag on the "German Suites" title

I've found a fairly decent citation for this. I take no credit for this, it was very easy to find. I'm surprised that whoever originally slapped the CN tag in there didn't just go find it. It shows something that is my pet peeve about CN tags: very often they seem to be nothing but sheer laziness.
