Video and sound file
editIdreamofJeanie, I have added an alternate video file that focusses more on the unfurling of the horn than the one you previously removed and added a sound file that presents the typical sound of a horn unfurling.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 19:34, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- We really need a better video than this one. Something simpler with the party horn shown more prominently than the person blowing it. SteveBaker (talk) 19:56, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- SteveBaker, There are other videos in at Commons:Party horns. None focus just on the party horn, but take a look.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 23:36, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- Commons:Party horns says: "This page does not currently exist. You can search for this page title in other pages or create this page." - so, no - I don't think so. SteveBaker (talk) 16:57, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Help
editWho invented these wonderful party honkers?? I need answers 139.55.38.75 (talk) 16:38, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, a History section would be delightful—unless these classic devices quickly became so ubiquitous that their origins were lost in the Mists of Time.
- If it were up to me, I'd also have a section on the social benefits of keeping a party horn on one's person, for the purpose of responding to absurd statements. I can't possibly be the only one here who finds that useful. – AndyFielding (talk) 12:50, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about 'the mists of time' BUT in the 1950s they had a specific name. I don't recall what that name was, BUT it was not anything to do with 'party'. I suspect it had something to do with, 'unfurling 'in as much as that is what it did. 78.150.172.115 (talk) 21:53, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
Related article—Air Handler?
editSure, they both involve air—but can someone tell me why large mechanical devices such as air handlers should be so associated with party horns as to be considered a related topic? Maybe it was someone's idea of a joke? I'm tempted to add a link to French horn... At least they're curly. – AndyFielding (talk) 12:45, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
