Demographics
editAround three quarters (73%) of the population of Parwan lives in rural districts, while one quarter (27%) lives in urban areas, Around 50% of the population is male and 50% is female. Dari and Pashto are the main languages spoken in the province, however Dari speakers outnumber Pashto speakers by a ratio of 5 to 2. [1] (Ketabtoon (talk) 13:56, 9 August 2009 (UTC))
- The source says there are 5 Dari speakers compared to 2 Pashto speakers -- when there are 7 people, then 5 are Dari and 2 are Pashto out of seven. 119.152.248.87 (talk) 14:07, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- That was my mistake. Thank you for the correction and discussing it here instead of only reverting the change. (Ketabtoon (talk) 16:17, 9 August 2009 (UTC))
- People have been changing that information, even falsifying the quote. the source clearly refers to the language as Dari, not Persian. So I put the exact quote in the footnote. Please revert any changes away from Dari. Thanks, Aristophanes68 (talk) 04:14, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

we read here that 71% of the population are tajiks and 29% pashtuns. then we read here that in shaikh ali district there are only shia and sunni and ismaeli hazaras. how these two statements can be factful? how come the hazaras of shaikh ali are not counted in the percentage?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.204.229.142 (talk) 00:09, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
