Paschal Trikirion?
editThere exists a special triple-candlestick (called the Paschal Trikirion) used for blessings by the priest at the Easter Vigil in Churches of the Byzantine tradition, and it is from this triple-candlestick that the faithful light their hand candles. The symbolism of light and so on is similar. Should we create a subheading here, or under Trikirion? InfernoXV 13:35, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Illumination
editI was unsure about right article to be linked to illumination. It would be great if someone with deep knowledge of the subject could dab that. --Ruziklan (talk) 11:48, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Re: Western Rite Orthodoxy
edit"The equivalent of the Paschal candle in the Western Orthodox Church is the Paschal trikirion, which differs in both style and usage."
I'm not sure what this is exactly trying to say or what the source here is, but the paschal candle is also an integral part of the Orthodox Western Rite. Concerning the Trikirion, it is generally not used therein, and it also does not serve the same function/use as the Paschal Candle in general. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.123.53.200 (talk) 01:55, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
