Removal of trivial content
editI removed the following utterly trivial information. As someone took the time to write this, I am putting in the discussion page. After all, a malfunction in the Spore MRT system may well be an event of historical importance ;-)
==Technical Fault near the Station== At around 8:58am on 19 April 2007, a portion of the MRT track between Tampines MRT Station and Pasir Ris MRT Station was not functioning properly. Several public service announcements had been made saying that the train service will be disrupted for about five minutes. The SMRT staff had to evacuate the station while fixing the problem. As a result, all eastbound trains had to terminate at Tampines MRT Station and continue its westbound service. The affected commuters were told that they have three days to collect their refunds from the SMRT. Normal train service was then resumed at 9.28 am and the commuters were then allowed to enter the MRT station again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rdavout (talk • contribs) 16:13, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
What's encyclopedic with this information? My change was reverted by an anonymous user before being applied again by someone - who got his change reverted too. Please debate if you feel *anyone* would have any use in this info *ever*. In the meantime, bye bye technical fault... Rdavout (talk) 11:28, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:NS logo.jpg
editImage:NS logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Wrong image?
editThe main image on this page is called "Singapore kenganban MRT 2002.jpg". Is it actually a photograph of Kembangan MRT Station and not Pasir Ris MRT Station? — Cheers, JackLee –talk– 05:27, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- The image is Pasir Ris Station. You can see the name on the board. Also notice the destination for both platforms is "Boon Lay", only happens at Pasir Ris. Seems that the image name is wrong. - oahiyeel talk 09:19, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Wow, the board is really at such a slanted angle that I personally cannot read it. Anyway, I will take your word for it as I'm unfamiliar with that MRT station. I will correct the image name at the Commons. There is another image by the same author called "File:Singapore kenganban MRT 2 2002.jpg". Any idea whether this is indeed of Kembangan MRT Station or also of Pasir Ris MRT Station? — Cheers, JackLee –talk– 09:28, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, the 2nd photo is indeed a picture of Kembangan Station :) - oahiyeel talk 10:41, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
OK, thanks! — Cheers, JackLee –talk– 13:16, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
