editAnyone help?? I'm trying to arrange four elements here, and the more I try the more confused they get. I'm not too good at all these formulas.... Thanks for any help...I'll leave it alone for awhile to avoid conflicts. Pollinator 05:40, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks Snoyes! Pollinator 06:10, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks also for avoiding edit conflicts. The tables in wikipedia are very user-unfriendly and I'm sure that eventually they will be replaced by something that is easier to use by non-computer nerds. If you are interested, I have a two generic pieces of code that I use quite often for displaying images on User:Snoyes/boiler. One for just displaying an image on the right with a caption and link to a larger version (under the heading "images"), and one for displaying multiple images in short articles (heading "Multi-image"). --snoyes 06:15, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)
I expect to get the second volume of American Beetles out of the library in two weeks, will be able to add some text then. Got 18 families left in the first volume to do between now and then. Stan 13:50, 12 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Someone needs to correct the sentence "Fourteen acoustical signals are known for the family, more than many vertebrates." It is not currently clear.
The page mentions that they are "very subsocial", yet I don't know what subsocial means. If this is a legitimate word, perhaps a link or a definition would help. Otherwise, is it a typo?
- American Beetles also uses "subsocial", so I'm keeping it. It seems that our favorite reference work (us :-) ) is missing a useful description of the concept though... Stan 03:05, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Patent-leather beetle
editSomebody please merge Patent-leather beetle here.
- No, please don't. Passalidae is a family, the patent-leather beetle merely one species in that family. --Stemonitis 10:22, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
