Give me two or three days...♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:39, 1 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Lede
  • "while Madhavapeddi Gokhale-Kaladhar were the film's art directors." -this looks like one person, is there a missing "and" here?
Rephrased. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 13:08, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Link Telugu and Tamil languages and body?
Done by Ssven2. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:28, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Plot
  • "the curse cast on a woman who had been transformed as a crocodile there, which in return she reveals the sorcerer's intentions." -a little awkward, can you reword?
Rephrased by Ssven2. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:28, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "gains access" with "gets access to a flying shoe" and "gains access to the statuette " seems odd in this context. It's almost like the statuette is accessible by a permit and he gains access through a gate or something physically. Can you reword/make clearer what you mean here?
Rephrased by myself and Ssven2. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:28, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Production
  • Rep of 1950, you can just say "later in the year"
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Ujjain, in the state of Madya Pradesh..
Added. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "was made as a bilingual shot " -a bilingual film, shot?
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Madhavapeddi Gokhale-Kaladhar -ditto with lede
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "with a small character" -"with a small role" or "playing a minor character"
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
(... something to do with a tanning booth, I'm guessing. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:47, 2 June 2015 (UTC) )Reply
Tantrik means a sorcerer practicing black magic, in general. It has been rephrased. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, seems to fit. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:57, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "of a a"
Removed the extra "a". Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Bhakta Potana - (1942)
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • " was signed in to" -remove "in"
Removed. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "Although principal photography began on 5 February 1950 and lasted until 8 February 1951,[14] the film's making took eight to nine months.[3] The delays in the filming process was attributed to the fact that the film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.[1] " -something's wrong here. Surely it should be the other way around, Although principal photography only took 8-9 months, the production phase continued for a whole year, due to it being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil"
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "For a particular scene, " -which?
Not mentioned by the author. Several scenes of the film happen in the night and i could not decide which one to choose. Thus i left it like that though it is a bit unclear. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Themes
  • under-currently -doesn't seem the right word here.
Rephrased. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Music
Wiki-linked. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Release
  • " also became the first Telugu film to run continuously for 175 days,[8] and also " -rep of "also", you can remove both I think.
Since 175 and 200 are mentioned, the second "also" makes sense i believe. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "Visakha Public Library" - in Mumbai?
No, Vishakhapatnam. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "gets the full credit for this film's excellence and" = "deserves full credit for the film's excellence and"
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Dropped
  • As you've link Bangalore below may as well also link Hyderabad
Linked. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "later became a part of Telugu vernacular." -you're learning ;-)
Thank you, Doctor! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Legacy
  • "On the centenary of Indian cinema in April 2013, CNN-IBN included Pathala Bhairavi in its list, "The 100 greatest Indian films of all time"" -it might be good here to have a quote from what they had to say about it.
The same was used in the critical reception. Also, an important quote by S. V. Srinivas exists on the section. Thus, i could not do this. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Impact
  • Isn't impact legacy? I'd merge sections and rename as "Legacy and influence" or something.
Doctor, IMHO, Legacy is about the film only and the Impact is about the film's influence on others. It is just like personal vs social. So i am using two sections. Done by the evilness himself! ;) Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:54, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • ";in which all " = , all of which
Done. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:43, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • "A poll conducted by CNN-IBN in May 2013 listed it as the greatest Indian film of all time." -um, you've already said this... Only mention once, ideally with a sizable quote on what it said about the film.
Removed. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:44, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Looks in very good shape.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:38, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Dr. Blofeld: Thank you, doctor! Ssven2, Kailash29792 and Jaguar helped me very much during the article's expansion, copy-editing and GAR also. Thus, they deserve the credit along with me. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 14:44, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Dr. Blofeld: True. Films in Telugu like Maro Charitra (1978), Sankarabharanam (1979) and Sagara Sangamam (1983) have good GA potential. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 15:07, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for reviewing the article, doctor! A special mention of Martinevans123 for a few light-hearted moments. I shall try to bring Missamma to GA status soon, which was actually planned since my Mayabazar days. I could not complete it due to lack of sources, but Pathala Bhairavi and Server Sundaram made me confident. And, the above mentioned films are aimed for GA status once Ssven2 is back to major editing. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:12, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Not sure Bollyjeff is interested by Mayabazar but actually I think it might be worth opening a peer review, I see future FA potential.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:24, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
