Updates

edit

I'm working on updating this page so that it includes all of Paizo's subscription products... I'll add in the Modules and Companion later, in addition to some format changes so that there is more information about each book.Drilnoth (talk) 14:20, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've added in the Companion and Modules. In the next few days I'll update the Adventure Path descriptions. If anyone has some of the Modules, expanded descriptions would be a good next step. Thanks! Drilnoth (talk) 18:41, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I will soon add some images and Adventure Path overviews, and maybe the Pathfinder Society scenarios. -Drilnoth (talk) 20:59, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merge with Dragon/Dungeon?

edit

If we have articles about Dragon and Dungeon, I feel it's reasonable to have articles about their successor - especially considering the Adventure Path concept has its own page.

Alternatively, we could merge that page with this one.Mhacdebhandia 23:55, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Paizo's press release, the Pathfinder page on their website, and numerous messageboard posts from their employees have stated Pathfinder is a "96-page book printed in a monthly volume". Pathfinder is NOT a magazine. Completeblank 22:26, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for renaming it, and fixing up all the links. Mhacdebhandia 03:16, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Should this article be removed from Category: Roleplaying Game Magazines? Drilnoth (talk) 14:32, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gavin Strikes Again!

edit

Gavin Collins is on a notability tagging spree regarding subjects he knows nothing about. I don't want to clean up his mess here because I am professionally related to this page, but if someone else would be so kind...Iquander (talk) 08:34, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Name change

edit

Maybe this article's name should be changed to Pathfinder (periodicals), since it now covers more than just the adventure paths. -Drilnoth (talk) 21:24, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done. -Drilnoth (talk) 15:12, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Added Image

edit

I've added an image into this article. I would've liked to have a picture of the first adventure in each AP, but that probably wouldn't work with the "minimal usage of non-free content". -Drilnoth (talk) 13:54, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Paizo has since release community use guidelines which permit the inclusion of certain intellectual property, including the covers of nearly every product they make as long as you include text describing it as such. Check out all the art used on the PathfinderWiki, linked to at the bottom of this very article. -- 69.141.125.143 (talk) 06:57, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Cool, thanks! 67.175.176.178 (talk) 12:24, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
The community use policy doesn't meet Wikipedia's requirements for license information, since it specifies that only non-commercial and non-derivative works. I think that images will need to be used under fair use, unfortunately. :/ –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 16:18, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Major changes

edit

Okay, I'm planning on making some major changes to this article before the August 13 release of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, which will probably involve gutting the whole thing and starting over from scratch. I just removed a whole ton product summaries which aren't appropriate for an encyclopedia and could be easily seen as advert-like (including those added in my first ever edit). My plan is to be able to rewrite this and expand it now with new content using reliable sources and appropriate style, hopefully taking it to GA-Class. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 16:40, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Needs doing. AusJeb (talk) 03:14, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rise of the Runelords

edit

Individual adventure descriptions aren't really necessary. It might be a good idea to list a few with a brief (1-2 sentences) description, provided you can offer links to the source, but for now I'm just going to remove the "Rise of the Runelords" section entirely because it's almost half the article's total length and doesn't offer anything useful to a general audience.

Though in the future, be sure to specify the terminology you're using. Again, a general audience wouldn't know what a "PC" or "NPC" is, so the first time you use those terms you should say something like, "In this adventure, the Player Characters (PCs) interact with the Non-Player Characters (NPCs)..."

Why not go ahead and add a shorter summary? 204.153.84.10 (talk) 14:00, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Adventure Path Summaries / Articles

edit

I think the move of removing the Rise of the Runelords article in its entirety was regrettable, though I can see by looking at it in the history, it certainly could/should have been summarized.

Currently, a list of most of the PF APs in Adventure Path redirect to this article separately, but there are not subsections for each.

I think that having a summary of each adventure path would be beneficial and appropriate to this article. Then, time permitting, each path can be broken out and summaries written of the component adventures. See Age of Worms for an example of a well organized Adventure Path article. - Sangrolu (talk) 18:34, 28 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree completely! Perfectly good idea. 129.33.19.254 (talk) 18:39, 28 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pathfinder Lost Omens

edit

Should a section on the replacement of World Guide (Pathfinder Lost Omens) be added? It'd help inform people about the campaign setting books of 2nd ed. Audace1234 (talk) 14:20, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Seems reasonable, do you have a reliable source to cite it with? 8.37.179.254 (talk) 19:50, 28 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Would the article on the product line on paizo's website work? Audace1234 (talk) 17:48, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
