Paths of Glory (The Simpsons) → 'Paths of Glory (The Simpsons) – According to Al Jean, the official title includes the apostrophe. [1] There was a typo in the FOX press release. Nohomersryan (talk) 17:34, 20 December 2015 (UTC) Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 11:12, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose in the strongest possible terms - per WP:CRITERIA, see Paths of Glory (disambiguation) dab; how un-userfriendly do we want to be? In ictu oculi (talk) 19:37, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
- @In ictu oculi: eh? I'm not proposing using this to disambiguate the title, you can keep that (and I've updated the request), I just think the title should have the apostrophe. Nohomersryan (talk) 19:58, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
- Ditto-issimo. That is stylization, not proper spelling. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:43, 20 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: it's not stylization, it's meant to be an abbreviation of "sociopath". Should we move 'Gator Tails/'Fore She Was Mama/'Round Springfield/etc.? Nohomersryan (talk) 19:58, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
- Comment why was the hatnote deleted? -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 06:13, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
- Paths of Glory is a 1957 American anti-war film by Stanley Kubrick. That's the primary topic, not this. Wbm1058 (talk) 23:47, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Relisting comment. I've updated the proposal. I think the two opposes have missed the main point of Nohomersryan's argument so far so more input would be appreciated. Jenks24 (talk) 11:12, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
- Inclined to support if better sourcing can be found than just a tweet from a primary source. Did that writer, and TV Guide etc. actually include the apostrophe? Did FOX issue a correction? Wbm1058 (talk) 23:47, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose, sorry. They've had plenty of time to correct their "typo", and they have not. Maybe Al Jean's desired title got overruled by network executives. Of course, when you put the title in quotes ("'Paths of Glory") it looks a little odd with an apostrophe. Wbm1058 (talk) 00:00, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Considering her "calculator loom", do you think that Amelia Vanderbuckle is based in Lady Ada Lovelace? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.246.122.225 (talk) 00:25, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

Lady Augusta Ada Lovelace?
editIs Amelia character based in Lady Augusta Ada Lovelace? Her loom seems very similar to Ada and Charles Babbage analitical engine. (Claudio H. Sánchez. Sorry, I´m not a WP registered user). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.105.43.241 (talk) 20:41, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
