editPatri J. Pugilese is a significant figure to many, many people in the dance and fencing world. Do not flag this article without consulting me. KM.
Ken, you should really clean this up, add sources, etc. It -will- get flagged given the current level of quality. See the work I did on the Julia Jones page. Joshua Kronengold 18:31, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Also, some of the biographical information seems to conflict with that I found when researching the Julia Jones article. Joshua Kronengold 18:35, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Conflict --- you mean the fact that J J Pugliese was coaching 1year after her death? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.202.41 (talk) 10:11, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Harvard's library catalog shows 205 peer-reviewed articles authored by him, surely that's enough to make him notable. Greg (talk) 21:24, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
A photo, please?
editA picture (or more than one) of Patri in any of his historical costumes would be a welcome addition to this article.
I think that I have a photo of him stored in a box somewhere, but I'll bet that someone else has a better one and can find it in a shorter timeframe than I could. Indeed, a bit of poking around online reveals that CVD has this: http://vintagedancers.org/memorial_patri.html
Who owns that photo? Snezzy (talk) 15:06, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
The photo of Patri in his Zoave uniform would be one option, consistent with the focus of the article on his sword work, but his dance work doesn't even mention his abiding interest in Renaissance dance and his participation in the Cambridge Court Dancers under the late Ingrid Brainard.
Also, something should be said about the project he worked on with Dragon Systems to archive and catalogue their files after they were bought out as part of the MIT project for the Dibner Institute (I believe that was the granting body, that could also be checked.)
I also have a photo of him in his maroon Italian Renaissance tunic and slops, would have to find t as well, but that could (probably) be done.99.231.185.70 (talk) 03:17, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
OK, this site has the picture of Patri in his Zouave uniform:
http://www.vintagedancers.org/memorial_patri.html
and the CVD site has many pictures of him teaching, dancing, and just hanging out. This one of the family is out of focus but gives an idea of the extent of the work they all put into dancing, creating costumes and creating the opportunities for others to do the same:

Another late 1800s one from the CVD site was taken at Strawberry Banke in 2005:

I have no idea what is required to upload pictures or create links to these sites but if someone does, that would be a start. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.20.41.15 (talk) 01:56, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Surviving family
edit@Nikkimaria: Why did you remove the sentence "He was survived by his wife, Barbara, and their two daughters, Antonia and Julia"? — Never mind, I've just consulted {{Infobox person}}. I've added "spouse=Barbara" and removed the names of the children, who are not "independently notable themselves or particularly relevant", and respecting "For privacy reasons, consider omitting the names of living children, unless notable." --Thnidu (talk) 13:52, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
