A small contradiction
editAt one point the article says: The Party worked to abolish the magnate and Russian dominated Permanent Council, but then it says During the Four-Year Sejm, the Party secured various reforms such as improvement of the territorial administration, establishment of the Permanent Council.
So was the Permanent Council a reform or was the attempt to abolish it a reform? Should that "establishment" be "abolishment"? My understanding of the role of PC is that while it was Russian created and initially Russian dominated some historians view it as overall a net positive, as such an institution (albeit not dominated by Russia) was needed. It was also the first sort of modern "cabinet" with ministers and such, wasn't it?Volunteer Marek (talk) 23:30, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
- Good catch, fixed. And you are right, PC has a mixed reputation. One day, I need to rework that article, too :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 00:44, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
