questionable logic in counter-blitz
editIt presents PACT concepts of assault as being simply breakthrough in depth with high speed armored forces. But while this is part of it, there is a substantial amount of artillery and fire support to deal with, as well as the problem of what happens if the opposing command looks at your maneuvers, considers them smokescreens or absurdity, and decides to shove past. Forces piecemeal won't be able to stop them, only skirmish while risking destruction from a well timed firemission or overrun.
The soviets were completely willing to evaporate positions with artillery, and forces wouldn't care about diversionary skirmishing, they'd just blow right past your smoke and mirrors. 140.209.53.27 (talk) 15:37, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
