Flubbed
editWhat the hell does flubbed mean? Fragrag 16:55, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
it means to make a mistake, to screw up--Nicole M. 23:04, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

editThe earlier photo with this article was loads better than the current one. How does one revert it? 74.73.86.222 02:41, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Personal Life Info
editI don't think rumors constitute biographical information. Nor do I think "New Jersey City" is a real place. ScrivaLu923 (talk) 02:15, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
I have yet to see the rumors anywhere in the internet. Proof or we should take this out altogether.--Mistigris (talk) 17:31, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps you should look for them? Visit Interpol's last.fm page or any number of the band videos on YouTube and look at the comments Spikeh (talk) 20:27, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
The comments on last.fm weren't actually about Paul Banks. It was someone sarcastically referring to Joy Division and Ian Curtis' suicide. --Mistigris (talk) 06:44, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Solo Project - Album Reviews
editI think we should remove the reviews of the Julian Plenti album from this page, considering that the album already has a page on its own: Julian Plenti is... Skyscraper —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bm1919 (talk • contribs) 17:41, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support, I agree. And hereby the page of the album will be improved. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sorella (talk • contribs) 16:44, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Requested move 10 December 2016
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Moved as per the amended proposal — Amakuru (talk) 13:16, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
* Paul Banks (singer) → Paul Banks (musician)
- Paul Banks (singer) → Paul Banks (musician, born 1978)
- Paul Banks (musician) → Paul Banks (musician, born 1973)
– Paul Banks of Interpol is more of a musician than a "guitarist" or "singer" (also done bass, drums, DJing, piano), meanwhile Banks of Shed Seven has only done guitar and songwriting for the band. "Singer" just doesn't really fit for Banks of Interpol. Aria1561 (talk) 04:57, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with Steel1943's suggestion on moving each to "(musician born 197X)" and I feel it's more justified than what I originally thought of. Aria1561 (talk) 17:52, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
Support moving Paul Banks (musician) to Paul Banks (guitarist); Oppose moving Paul Banks (singer) to Paul Banks (musician). The disambiguator "musician" is ambiguous since instrumentalists are considered musicians. Instead, redirect Paul Banks (musician) to Paul Banks as a {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. Steel1943 (talk) 05:17, 10 December 2016 (UTC)- Move Paul Banks (singer) to Paul Banks (musician, born 1978), and move Paul Banks (musician) to Paul Banks (musician, born 1973) per WP:NCPDAB and per Nohomersryan's comment below. Also, redirect Paul Banks (musician) to Paul Banks as a {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. Also, keep Paul Banks (singer) targeting Paul Banks (musician, born 1978) since it seems like the other subject doesn't sing, nor is notable for singing. In ictu oculi, what do you think about this change? Steel1943 (talk) 17:22, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
- I like this idea. I think it's better fitting for both. @Nohomersryan: thoughts? Aria1561 (talk) 17:52, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

- Support moving Paul Banks (musician) to Paul Banks (guitarist); Oppose moving Paul Banks (singer) to Paul Banks (musician). verbatim as @Steel1943: (musician) should redirect to Paul Banks dab page. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:44, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose both moves. Both of them are guitarists and musicians! Further DAB required. Nohomersryan (talk) 16:26, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Nohomersryan: Interesting ... I'll be changing my comment soon. Steel1943 (talk) 17:14, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not sure birth years cut it, bio data isn't followed/sourced/known for singers as it is for footballers. Paul Banks (Interpol musician) Paul Banks (Shed Seven musician) should at least be redirects. or Paul Banks (Interpol vocalist) Paul Banks (Shed Seven vocalist). In ictu oculi (talk) 09:36, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
- @In ictu oculi: See Lisa#People for musician birth year examples. Also, Ray Charles (musician, born 1918). Steel1943 (talk) 15:56, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support Steel1943's proposal. SSTflyer 13:14, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
