This desperately needs to be expanded, but I don't know entirely how, I've never done that. Broun seems to be the congressman-elect, and so therefore he deserves a larger, non-stub page. -minnesotajohn29

Perhaps mention can be made of how close the race was. This was considered to be a foregone conclusion for the incumbent. Also, he supports Ron Paul and Constitutionalism. Here's an article (that Yahoo copied later on) that could help flesh this out a bit.[1]--Shink X 22:36, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

The birthdate listed in the narrative is incorrect. The Lib. of Congress reference has had it listed incorrectly for some reason. May 14 is the correct day. (close friend) Positivr8 03:02, 29 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Congress also has the location of Medical College of Georgia listed as Athens. That is incorrect. MCG is located in Augusta. Awbeal 23:15, 29 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does Mr. Broun has an official congressional website yet? WooyiTalk to me? 21:29, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Broun is spamming Twitter

edit

Broun is heavily "spamming" @cspan/members-of-congress during the State of the Union address and promoting his own agenda and ignoring the bipartisan efforts of both parties. There is no other politician engaging in this bad behavior. I propose finding sources and adding it to the article. Viriditas (talk) 02:55, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sources: [2], [3],[4] I'm sure there will be many more sources in the coming days to expand this article. Viriditas (talk) 05:05, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Follow the Money link is for his father, Paul Broun Sr., a Democratic State Senator from Athens, GA. I'm deleting the link. Crock1701 13:17, 15 March 2011

The scientific plot is primarily concerned with hiding the true age of the Earth

edit
An IP editor (whose edits looked pretty reasonable to me) removed the section concerning this. I think it would be good to add back in. The write in campaign by "Charles Darwin" seems like it was a big deal. The HuffPost covered it, giving us a more reliable source. I'm not adding it back in myself because I feel like I would be too POV with it, but I think it would be good to mention. Zell Faze (talk) 15:45, 1 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

There is a discrepancy in regard to the votes for Charles Darwin

edit

Early in the article it says that Darwin received "about 4000 write-in votes". Later it says that Darwin received over 5000 votes. This doesn't make any sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.117.32.155 (talk) 16:14, 15 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Inappropriate editorializing

edit

The statement "Broun has made many statements denying climate change despite the scientific consensus that Earth is warming almost certainly due to human activity" has no source, and is an example of editorializing done by a wikipedia editor. This is in inappropriate, and runs afoul of Wikipedia:Editorializing#Editorializing. Either find a source that makes that juxtaposition, or it needs to be trimmed to what can be supported by sources. It took me less than a minute to find a source. Cwobeel (talk) 18:21, 15 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

NPOV issues

edit

This article has very serious

problems, some of which I've tried to fix just now. The controversies section has been given undue prominence and weight, and the article relies heavily on partisan news outlets such as ThinkProgress. I think this article needs a pretty thorough reworking. Alkibiades14 (talk) 20:44, 8 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

BLP noticeboard

edit

Section = 109 BLP articles labelled "Climate Change Deniers" all at once. This article was placed in a "climate change deniers" category. After discussion on WP:BLPN and WP:CFD the category was deleted. Peter Gulutzan (talk) 16:13, 20 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
