editThe citation for the point that, had his career continued, Danson would have been the longest serving referee since the 1920's is the Gilbert Upton book with its reference to JT Howcroft (since removed). Ideally I would have had a number reference to this in the body of the article but am not clear how to do this.Alan Briscoe 22:54, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
