The article stated that "Most recently, he has implied through Church newsletters that his people should not be like lambs and should stay silent just like Jesus did on the cross. However, commentators and people more knowledgeable about the bible have stated that Jesus did in fact voice out his pain while on the cross. Critics have also recently stated that the true lamb may be Kwong himself as he is using his status to please the CCP" Kwong's comment about lambs was made in a sermon, as per cited article. Kwong did not say that Jesus was silent on the cross, but before Pilate. The comment about critics comparing Kwong to a lamb is uncited and makes no sense - how would a lamb use its status to please the CCP? Thinginblack (talk) 03:43, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
Firstly, the article cited as source (published in the SCMP) simply does not contain the opening words Thinginblack suggests (begging the question, is Thinginblack putting up a straw man here). Secondly, the article states that it is quoting from a sermon both enunciated in church and published on the church's website (plus it provided a link to a Cantonese original recording), which appears the most robust of sourcing. Thirdly, no retraction or clarification ever emerged from Kwong. Whether Thinginblack finds what he said logical, appropriate or otherwise is not relevant. The source provided is solid. sirlanz11:01, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
