The archive of the "Mitteilungen der Deutsch-Türkischen Gesellschaft" was recently put online ( http://www.dtgbonn.de ) , it is a Bonanza for people interested in the history of German Turkish relations in the 1920s. There is an excellent detailed article about the life of Paul Lange in that journal, published in:
Schlegel, Dietrich: Paul Lange Bey – Ein deutscher Musiker
im Osmanischen Reich, Mitteilungen der Deutsch-Türkischen Gesellschaft, 115(12/1992), S. 36-47
I will try to put the relevant info soon into the German and English articles. Help with the Turkish version is appreciated, I am noticing with joy the eager interest of "Young Turks" living in Germany in the exciting history of the German community in Istanbul and Turkey ... :-)
