Conditions of the treaty

edit

Can be found here: “A General Collection of Treaties, Manifesto's, Declarations and other authentick acts between the Emperor and his predecessors, and the Princes and States of Hungary and Transilvania”, printed by H. Montgomery, 1705. pp. 42-49. 104.158.48.139 (talk) 20:13, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Summary of the terms
By the treaty, both the Habsburgs and Ottomans will leave Erdély, and Apafy, recognized as Prince, will continue to pay tribute to the Sultân. Of the seven Magyar counties located between Erdély and the Tisza River, three will remain with the Kaiser and the four taken from Ferenc I Rákóczy belong to the Sultân. The Ottomans keep the fortresses of Érsekújvár,Várad, Lugos, Karánsebes, and Jenő, along with districts under Ottoman control since 1657 and the Kaiser keeps Szabolcs and Szatmár counties, and all their fortresses. The fortress at Székelyhíd (today Săcueni in Romania) is to be razed and not rebuilt, and Novi Zrin is not allowed to be rebuilt, but the Kaiser is allowed to fortify places along the Váh (Vág) river for the defence of his realms. The Kaiser and Sultân are to exchange a gift worth 200,000 florins. 198.251.52.192 (talk) 23:07, 13 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Low quality article

edit

I is shocking how low value this article is lacking even the most basic details that are readily available.

1. Where was it signed? Vasvar, which is about 50 km east of Sezntgottard 2. When was it signed? 10 August 1664 3. The negotiations were done in secret and kept secret for over a month 4. On September 25, after being ratified, the Grand Vezir Ahmed Paşa announces the treaty to the Ottoman headquarters. 5. On September 27, the Peace of Vasvár is made public in Europe — where, by many, it is called a Shameful Peace.

Why is there more about the criticism of the treaty and the following Magnate Conspiracy than details of the treaty?
