Death date?
editCurious not to find death dates for either, I did a little research and found that at 91 and 94 both Pearl and Teddy are still alive today. Just putting this note for anyone else wondering the same thing.--Tuzapicabit (talk) 17:13, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- On a related note, I've updated the reference for Pearl's date of birth to an article in The Times. The existing ref gave 1923 as her year of birth, which was also the date listed in Exmouth#Notable people – but (most) reliable source I've found give 1921. I'm assuming 1921 is correct, but I'm finding conflicting info. GhostOfNoMan 03:03, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

Unless these ages are updated annually then their ages will be inaccurate..as they are now, 2 years on. So I've removed them. Vauxhall1964 (talk) 20:43, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
Pearl Carr birth year
editAlthough many sources give her birth year as 1923, this report of her death in 2020 gave her age as 98 (while confusingly also giving a 1923 date). The reported age of 98 is in fact correct, and she was born in 1921. The only record for the birth of a Pearl L Carr in Devon in the GRO Civil Registration Birth Index is for the fourth quarter of 1921, and this post from the British Music Hall Society gives November 2, 1921. As happened very often, it appears that she (or her agent) knocked a couple of years off her age at some point for publicity reasons. Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:28, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
- Oops, I hadn't spotted this before leaving a message above a moment ago. Looks like you cracked the case before me. I noted the discrepancy between this article and the year of birth given at Exmouth#Notable people. I've just replaced the reference with an article I found in The Times. The old ref (your link) gives 1923, but 1921 seems the correct date and is what The Times uses. GhostOfNoMan 03:07, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
