Proposed merge with Pecong (play)
editNo indication that the word has any notability beyond the play - no ghits for it which are not for the play, no sources in this article. Both articles were created by same editor on same date. PamD 07:46, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
Support per above. Word is not notable. Boleyn (talk) 07:27, 20 May 2016 (UTC)
For what it's worth, here's an instance of the word being used by someone (Nalo Hopkinson) who was born in Jamaica, and referring to a broad example of Black culture with it: https://www.patreon.com/posts/afrofuturism-is-15110179. 2602:306:B80D:5F70:1836:1A85:3B73:686E (talk) 09:38, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
- Oxford English Dictionary has picong ("Caribbean (chiefly Trinidad). Ritualized (and usually competitive) verbal ridicule, insult, or teasing"), but not pekong, and wikipedia already has picong. So, given that the meaning is identical, suggest merging pecong to picong, and leave Pecong (play) where it is. Klbrain (talk) 20:23, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
- Given no objections over the last month, closing and will discuss new proposal at Talk:Picong. Klbrain (talk) 12:04, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
