Copyright problem
editThis article has been revised as part of the large-scale clean-up project of a massive copyright infringement on Wikipedia. Earlier text must not be restored, unless it can be verified to be free of infringement. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions must be deleted. Contributors may use sources as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously.
For more information on this situation, which involved a single contributor liberally copying material from print and internet sources into several thousand articles, please see the two administrators' noticeboard discussions of the matter, here and here, as well as the the cleanup task force subpage. Thank you. -- ascidian | talk-to-me 13:46, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: moved to peculator (gastropod). For now, I'm keeping the redirect pointing to that article to avoid breaking links. (non-admin closure) Hot Stop talk-contribs 06:33, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
Peculator → Peculator (genus) – The primary topic of "peculator" is embezzler, so this should redirect to embezzlement. google, google books, google scholar, google case law -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 08:56, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

- Support: I agree with move to Peculator (gastropod), as this is the way we name in our project the names with different meanings. JoJan (talk) 14:36, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- Comment I have no problem with that "(gastropod)", I am the nominator. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 01:20, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Support. From a Google Scholar search the criminal usage seems to be most used, although there is at least one ship with the same name. --Animalparty-- (talk) 23:35, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose, Wikipedia is not a dictionary. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 23:14, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- And this is not a dictionary request either, unless you consider the target article to be a dictionary entry; In which case, feel free to nominate embezzlement for deletion. Are you going to delete most redirects on Wikipedia or something? Most redirects are for synonyms. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 01:20, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Support. I have no problem with this being moved to Peculator (gastropod); this move seems perfectly reasonable to me. Invertzoo (talk) 11:28, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
