editThe manifestations discussed in this article largely involve adolescent youths and young men. If they were crimes at the time it is because all same-sex relations were, and people who did engage in these relations construed them as the desire of an older male for an adolescent. It has nothing to do with the criminal behavior of today in which adults make sexual use of children, often violently. And as you will see, the people involved in these relationships are the very same who are being claimed as the forefathers of the lgbt movement (such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, etc). So the LGBT banner is appropriate, as this is part of LGBT history. Haiduc 02:17, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- I asked for clarity on the project page. The LGBT community has it hard as it is and has come a long way. To continue to spread the idea that it's OK to have sex with children, history or otherwise, as a connection to the LGBT community helps the non-gay and those who still believe homosexuality as a "sin" confirm their beliefs. - Jeeny Talk 02:44, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
