Find correct name
The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

The Return to Europe section describes a personal meeting between Cabral and Vespucci, and also provides the dates of Cabral's arrival and departure with a link to "Bueno, Eduardo (1998). A viagem do descobrimento: a verdadeira história da expedição de Cabral" book (by the way, the author is a supporter of the idea that Cabral discovered America not by chance). So: 1) at best only the fastest ship arrived at Bezeguiche island on June 2, and Cabral himself arrived no earlier than mid-June (or even early July - see: McClymont. Pedraluarez Cabral 1914); 2) Vespucci met only two of Cabral's ships witn captains Diogo Dias and Nicolau Coelho (see: Vigneras. The discovery of South America and the Andalusian voyages 1976); 3) Vespucci and Cabral did not personally cross paths on this island. The expedition with Vespucci's participation sailed before Cabral arrived (see: Greenlee. Voyage Of Pedro Alvares Cabral To Brazil And India 1938). So Vespucci could at best tell other participants about the idea of a new continent, although apparently he simply wrote it down in his diary. -- Karavadgoo (talk) 17:15, 16 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
