Episode List?
editThis seems like a big task, and I don't edit things often on wikipedia often. (nor do I watch this program). Still, the long list of short descriptions for this show is stretching the page unnecessarily. If someone ever wants to fix it, I'm just putting the suggestion out there. RingoPaai (talk) 22:48, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- I moved the entire episode list to List of Peep and the Big Wide World episodes. Doesn't the article now seem less cluttered? Well, 3 years later, the real question is: who cares? Cheers guys how is it going, Michaelzeng7 (talk) 14:09, 7 July 2013 (UTC) In the first episode peep's voice is actually William Shakespeare's

I think "That's A Cat" might be the 1st episode from the series. 86.143.29.41 (talk) 20:52, 22 April 2014 (UTC) LOOK OUT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE! PEEP DIES!😥 THEN CHIRP DIES AND THEN QUACK DIES! BOO HOO!
Nationality for list
editCurrently List of Peep and the Big Wide World characters is in Category:Lists of characters in television animation. I would like to place it in either Category:Lists of characters in American television animation or Category:Lists of characters in Canadian television animation.
I am not sure which because this main series article is in both Category:American animated television series and Category:Canadian animated television series.
Regardless of where it actually airs, unless both countries worked on the animation, I think we should only be naming it after the country in which the animating was done. Was this truly both, or is there just one of the two responsible for it? Ranze (talk) 10:53, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- The show's official website only says the production was done by both WGBH in Boston and 9 Story Entertainment in association with TVOntario. With the absence of verification otherwise, I think it would be safe to just assume both countries worked together. Michaelzeng7 (talk) 14:19, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Starring
editAdded Joan Cusack as she is the narrator for the show. Splent (talk) 03:30, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
Production companies
editSomeone keeps adding some more production companies to the article when the show is only produced by WGBH and 9 Story Entertainment. - FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 22:33, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

I think Kaj Pindal was only the creator for the show as he did the original 'Peep'. But for some reason some autistic user have added creators such as Angela Santomero (I don't know who she created), and Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport (Teletubbies). This vandalism and all types of vandalism for an autistic user like the one he edited needs to stop or someone will ban the autistic user from Wikipedia. SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP ADDING SOMEONE/SOMETHING ONTO A PROGRAM RIGHT NOW!! END OF STORY!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.29.41 (talk) 21:11, 21 April 2014 (UTC) I AM SICK TO THE BACK TEETH ABOUT THIS! - Please do not make personal attacks on other editors. We are a community of editors expected to work together to create a good encyclopedia. My bet is that the editor saw the nature of your comments and thought your intentions were to disrupt Wikipedia. To prevent this in the future, please try to conduct yourself in a more civil manner. Particularly, refrain from using all caps in your messages. Doing so looks like you are shouting and is rarely appropriate. Do not resort to name-calling either; that does nothing to prove your point and only creates animosity among editors.
- Now, I can definitely find verification of Pindal's involvement in the creation of Peep (see NFB, Google Books); however, I was unable to find verification of the others. It looks like Kaj Pindal was the creator of the original 1988 film, but has not had much involvement with the 2004 series. In response to this, I have removed the three other names in the "creators" field. If any editor wishes to reinsert them, I ask that they please provide a reliable source verifying the information per WP:BURDEN. Thank you. Mz7 (talk) 22:17, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Incorrect origin
editThe 1988 show was based on "The Peep Show" from 1962 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0223901/). The 1988 version contained the same artwork as the original, but it was colorized. The newer one also had a different narrator and sound effects. In the 1962 original and the new series, Chirp is female and Peep is male; these were reversed in the 1988 show. I'm writing this here instead of in the main article because I'm not a registered user and have no desire to become one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.152.6.200 (talk) 18:35, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hi there, we can't use IMDb as a reference because it, like Wikia, TV.com, discussion forums, and even Wikipedia itself, is user-contributed. If you can find a stronger source, the matter might be worth discussing. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:53, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

- Deleted - No clear reason for this title to be included in a See also section. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:01, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
It airs in reruns with Pocoyo, which is even mentioned on the Pocoyo page (not in see also, though).SixSixtieth (talk) 15:24, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

editI don't think it has officially ended. Probably just on hiatus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:602:500:84E2:CC7A:32D:1CD8:407B (talk) 01:02, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
End date removal
editSomeone keeps removing the show's end date without hard evidence to prove that the show hasn't ended its run. — FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 01:57, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
What proof is there that the show has ended it's run? 174.21.106.212 (talk) 02:34, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- Per Wikipedia regulations, if the last episode aired, that means the show has indeed ended. If it was on hiatus, the creators would've said so, but they didn't it and it is NOT your decision wether a show is on hiatus or not. — FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 03:03, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
What "last episode"? The correct term would be "latest". The creators have neither confirmed or denied it's on hiatus, so it might have ended but we don't know for sure. I wish you wouldn't call me a liar. This is simply a show I love and I want to keep up the hope of it continuing at some point. 174.21.106.212 (talk) 03:52, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hmm, this is interesting. It definitely looks like you are correct that the creators have neither confirmed nor denied that the show is indeed over (i.e. we will never see another new episode). I took a look at the documentation for the infobox, which describes how the infobox is typically used in articles, and it states:
I hope this helps explain why the "last aired" date is being filled at this moment. Mz7 (talk) 20:28, 23 March 2017 (UTC)In some cases the fate of a program might be uncertain, for example if there are no announcements that a show has been renewed. If such a program has not aired a new episode in 12 months, "present" can be changed to the date the last episode aired, using {{End date}}. This does not imply the series has been cancelled, rather that the program "last aired" on that date. This is to prevent programs from being listed as "present" in perpetuity.
Why I called the Alex Hood credit a hoax
edit75.128.85.155 has also been editing from 2600:1007:B000:0:0:0:0:0/36, a range which has been blocked for three months for propagating hoaxes. Pretty much anything coming from there can safely be taken with a grain of salt. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 17:55, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Also to note is that people creating hoaxes can very easily insert credits in IMDb so IMDb, while a convenient check on some stuff, can never be trusted to have have credit info right. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:21, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Yep. IMDb has even listed entire hoax movies in the past; Gilligan's Island with a release date of 1/1/2001 and starring Brian Dennehy as The Skipper, for example. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 20:11, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- The Alex Hood credit is NOT a hoax. 98.24.238.45 (talk) 18:24, 17 October 2019 (UTC)

Various Characters
edit1) Chirp also has a bit of a hoarding problem, as seen in Chirp Sorts it Out (Sort Of) and House of Sand and Frog.
2) "The Narrator tells the episode's story, although the characters rarely have any interaction with her. In the episodes "Dry Duck, Part 1" the birds did have a short interaction with her and in "Quack Quiets the Universe" she and Quack interact as well." In Bridge the Gap, all three main birds in the end can be seen saying "They're pinecones!" to the Narrator. Not that important, though.
3) One section of characters mentions the Fish, saying they're co-inhabitants of Quack's pond. While that is true, Fish Jr. should have their own section. Fish Jr. is the only fish with a name mentioned in the show, and (from what it seems) interacts with Quack the most.
4) Nellie seems more orange than red, but that's probably just a personal thing.
5) "Racoon (Voiced by Jeff Lumby): A gobbo, male brown & black racoon who often tries to wear his sun glasses in A Peep of a Different Color" For one, no punctuation in the second half of the sentence. Also, the sunglasses aren't actually often seen, and only seen for a few moments in the said episode.
6) "Quack #2 (Voiced by Megan Mullally): An annoying pink female duck who has her own pond, built by Quack, Peep, Chirp, Beaver Boy and his parents." The only one who thinks Quack #2 is annoying is Quack. The other animals seem fond of her and even go to her concert (at Quack's pond).
Also, there are many things wrong with the punctuation in this article. SixSixtieth (talk) 23:27, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
