Purpose
editThe purpose of this page is to add medical pencil beam scanning. There is a physics pencil beam scanning (PBS) page but no mention of the medical oncological use of ionizing radiation guided by a pencil beam. There is also a pencil beam scanning redirect page to pencil beam.
PBS is used by both IMRT (x-ray) and (PRT) proton therapy. Please note that not ALL proton therapy centers use pencil beam scanning. There is an WP-COI edit dispute at proton therapy because of this difference. Bgordski (talk) 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
