SEITA
editArticle needs to say who they are and make clear they are not connected to the Vic Govt. Also needs better sourcing.--Grahame (talk) 02:48, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed. Although, they do have financial arrangements with the State Government, hence why they are being awarded the tender to another construction project going ahead under a PPP. Nick carson (talk) 09:14, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Peninsula Link

Merge with Mornington Peninsula Freeway
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- To merge Peninsula Link into the broader Mornington Peninsula Freeway for context and overlap. Klbrain (talk) 10:46, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
The merge would indicate the continuous link between the two sections of MP Freeway and Peninsula Link. Peninsula Link would have a sub-content on the MP Freeway page (if agreed upon). --Rom rulz424 (talk) 02:00, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed, why there are two different articles for essentially one continuous road is a little confusing. Having the Peninsula Link article as a sub-section of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway article tidies a lot up. Lordstorm (talk) 06:24, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
- Also agree, it makes no sense having two articles for essentially the one Freeway. The article should be changed to the "M11" and then link both Mornington Peninsula Freeway and Peninsula Link to it. Both the MP Freeway and Peninsula Link should be sub sections under it. The same gos for other articles discussing freeways eg Frankston freeway/Eastlink/Eastern Freeway are all M3 so also should be one article.Anderch (talk) 02:25, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
- Personally I don't feel like it should be merged because the road has completely different financial structure to the rest of the freeway. The infobox could be retrofitted to suit it though. It used to be split in two sections so it can be split back into four. Jordf32123 (talk) 10:59, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
- Merge: On Vicroads map of declared roads and register of public roads, Peninsula Link is part of Mornington Peninsula Freeway, and serves as the local (a.k.a signposted) name of the 2013 section. My preference is to have the two articles merge, but given the quite extensive content of the Peninsula Link article, it may result in an unequal weighting of Peninsula Link in the merged article. Marcnut1996 (talk) 21:55, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
- Support merge, it is all the one road. Many roads are built in stages by different means over time. This does not make the stages or sections separately and independently notable. Due weight just means the other sections in the merge target perhaps should also be improved, as well some any minor detail trimmed from the merge subject. Aoziwe (talk) 05:10, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Support merge, as mentioned above by Marcnut1996 Peninsula Link is a part of Mornington Peninsula Freeway, it would like be having the Deer Park Bypass as a seperate article to the Western Freeway. I understand the financial funding is different to similar roads but any info in regards to this can be given in a subsection. Zach386x (talk) 02:32, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
Support merge. It should be pointed out that separate articles don’t exist for the Metropolitan Ring Road and the Western Ring Road, to which there is a similar distinction between the Mornington Peninsula Freeway and Peninsula Link Notthatwise (talk) 11:43, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 10:46, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
