Further reading
editI have removed this from the reading list in the article:
- Kelin, John. "Praise from a Future Generation: The Assassination of John F. Kennedy and the First Generation Critics of the Warren Report." Wings Press, San Antonio, Texas, 2007.
A book written by John Kelin, and introduced into this article by User:Johnkelin. Self-promotion and conflict of interest issues aside, is there a reliable source to indicate this book exists, and should be listed here in this article? Xenophrenic (talk) 02:46, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- A google search for combined phrases "Praise from a Future Generation" "Assassination of John F. Kennedy" gets more than 5,600 hits, the book is listed on Amazon [1], and the book is mentioned at the sparticus.edu page sited as a reference for this article. Self added or not, it looks to me of sufficent notability and relevence to merit being mentioned in "further reading". Infrogmation (talk) 15:20, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
First person account from Acasualtynomore
editThe below was added to the article by User:Acasualtynomore. Since it is written from a first person viewpoint (Wikipedia articles do not have late fathers), I have moved it here to the talk page. -- Infrogmation (talk) 15:10, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
This isn't the whole truth. Garrison and Penn Jones collaborated with my late father, Roger D. Craig, Sr., to entrap people associated with Clay Shaw. This was late 67'. Garrison found my father a desk job in New Orleans in winter of 1967, and my father and our family spent several months there. My fathers actual job was to gather evidence on Clay Shaw. This was a collaboration between Garrison and Jones.
Now, one thing to bear in mind, one man my father swore he had seen at the time of the assassination of JFK was Edgar Eugene Bradley. Bradley was on a train to El Paso at the time, and when my father identified him as the same man he saw in Dallas on November 22nd, 1963 from a news report he saw in New Orleans on December 22nd, 1967, he was clearly mistaken. Bradley later reported being contacted by my father twice requesting money in exchange for his changing his story. Bradley claimed to have phone records to prove it. Meantime, Penn Jones, Jr. was insisting that Bradley was harassing and threatening my father.
During the time my family spent in New Orleans, I routinely went with my father as he traveled around the city to speak with people. In later years, in other places, this continued, after my parents became Private Investigators. I was the decoy - people don't put their guard up around children, as my mother later explained it. I have clear memories of New Orleans, and the people we met there. Having met many gay men over the years, I know that the people my father was trying to extract information from were gay men. This fits with Clay Shaw's insistence that the gay community was somehow involved in the assassination of JFK, via Clay Shaw.
I have more to say, and will. But for now, understand that you should NOT believe everything you read. Much of what has been written about Penn Jones, Jr., Roger Craig, Sr. and Jim Garrison, is not necessarily fact-based. Penn Jones and Jim Garrison both used Roger Craig to their own ends - to promote their own goals. And Roger Craig, Sr. was a very disturbed man. I am his daughter. I know how disturbed he was. I also know that Penn Jones, Jr. took advantage of my father. He knew Roger was unstable. So did Garrison. I may have been a quiet child, but I was not stupid. Sometimes, unfortunately, my father was.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Acasualtynomore (talk • contribs) 01:56, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
