"Dispersed hoard"
editI think an appositive phrase is in order, explaining, perhaps, that a "dispersed hoard" is simply one that has become dispersed across a site by agricultural operations like ploughing, raking and harrowing. It's not as clear as you'd think for the suburban or inner-city reader.--Wetman (talk) 22:08, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Decorated brooch
editIf you look at the ornate silver brooch on the right under magnification, you'll notice that the "halo" around the upper hemispherical motif has 26 raised dots while the "halo" around the lower motif has 27. What speculative answer could be deduced from this? Musicwriter (talk) 21:05, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
