Has it reached a point of needing a note, or will this mention in the talk page be sufficient to weed this out? Hcobb (talk) 15:41, 3 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

This article written by Hans Kristensen who is pretending to be from FAS (Federation of American Scientists) but he is not a scientists at all (he has no Ph.D. in physics or whatever, he has not even master degree!). He has just a colledge degree from Denmark 1981) and he is not an American (he is Danish and use to be a pacifist and Greenpeace activist-clerk then suddenly became an advisor in Danish Defence ministry!). His analysis about China's plutonium and uranium stockpiles is just a guess and his ungrounded ideas and numbers about the deficite of tritium in China is just a hoax (China has 9 CANDU nuclear reactor which can produce up to 1 kg of tritium per year, besides one do not need tritium to detonate nuke!). I don't know why Kristensen spreading all this desinformation from late 90ies but this comedy need to be uncovered. Why no one from real American nuclear physiscs specialists (real scientists) are not writing about China nuke stockpile? Why this field of knowledge dominated by uneducated amateur such Hans Kristensen? 185.79.103.7 (talk) 19:59, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yes, Hans Kristensen biography is strange, one could take a look here: http://www.nukestrat.com/HansCV.pdf (dated 2007). The real question is: Who appointed him as an "expert" in this field??? 213.24.127.151 (talk) 19:00, 15 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Does it control SLBMs?

edit

The article says ICBMS and IRBMs etc. Does the PLARF control the SLBM force?Phd8511 (talk) 03:56, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

That's currently unclear, some sources say it does, but some do not. It just got reorganized so I guess we should wait and see if a press release says anything. If I'd put my money on anything it'd be the PLAN keeping control of SLBMs. 24.192.250.124 (talk) 02:17, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Expansion from Chinese articles

edit

A significant quantity of information exists under the 中国人民解放军火箭军 ("Chinese People's Liberation Army Rocket Force") navigation template at the bottom of the corresponding Chinese article. Specifically for history and information on each of the PLARF bases. RightQuark (talk) 04:05, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
