Original source
editIt's looking like a lot of the initial information for this article came from a Clare library page; unfortunately, their copyright statement is restrictive enough that I recommend that we should actively seek other sources to flesh out this article.

Renamed to Percy French
editI have renamed this article from "William Percy French" to "Percy French", because he was known as "Percy French". See for example http://www.percyfrench.org/ ; also 35,900 ghits for "Percy French" -wikipedia and only 857 ghits for "William Percy French" -wikipedia. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 21:23, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Minor Edit
editI just made a small edit to the Percy French article. I neglected to mark it MINOR. Sorry. Wanderer57 16:58, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Gortnamona
editI didn't find 'Gortnamona' in the list of songs or poems.
It's quite dark, unlike most of his other work. Some say that it's a reflection on the death of his wife and daughter; I can't confirm or refute this.
Photo
editThe photo of Percy sitting on the bench at Ballyjamesduff isn't great. I'd post a link to one of mine, but the site is on a blacklist here.

Recent edits resp. unreferenced claims.
editI have an idea who the editor is who is hiding behind the anonymous "176.61.110.208" (there is a recent book that is lauded here in rather subjective terms). If you read this: Please stop making unreferenced claims in this article. I have placed the "citation needed" tag at a few places, but it should be at many more of your edits. Please only add something when you can provide a source to your claims, i.e. a footnote to a page in a book or to a weblink. Also, please be more careful in terms of formalities like italics, the positioning of commas, full stops, blanks, etc. This is an encyclopedia article that needs to be factual and neutral, not coloured by personal opinion. – Aklein62 (talk) 14:57, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
