Disambig

edit

Would it be possible to add a defintion on Performance Measurement?

I've removed this page from the disambiguation category during a bit of tidying up, because it's not really a disambig page. But maybe one is needed? - Dan 18:45, 11 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • OK, I've focused this page on the performing arts, and moved all the unrelated information to a separate disambiguation page. The page reads better than it did, but it still needs expansion and further work! - Dan 19:33, 11 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Social sciences, e.g. "performing blackness"

edit

What does this mean? How is "performing blackness" different from just being black? Does it involve stereotypes, etc.? 86.130.41.222 (talk) 20:06, 21 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Stage fright section

edit

The part about stage fright (starting "Theatrical performances, especially when the audience is limited to only a few observers, can ..."), especially the last sentence, is very unclear:

- Does that last sentence ("Interestingly, ...") mean to say that instrumental performers are more anxious in front of larger audiences – and that this is the opposite of what was said earlier about theatrical performers? (Actually, I think it’s called "parallel" correlation, not "positive", but I’m not sure about that.) Anyway, if this is the intended meaning, I think it should be rephrased. But there’s more:

- I checked the reference given there to find clarification, but the linked page shows only the abstract, which doesn’t mention the finding stated in the article. In other words, the reference doesn’t help corroborate the statement.

- The reference study’s abstract does talk about different-size audiences, but it calls them private vs. public performances, not about small vs. large audiences. This gives me further doubt whether the sentence has any point. --Geke (talk) 10:54, 20 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone have any objections to separating the segments in "management science" into more paragraphs? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.218.229.163 (talk) 16:45, 5 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Update: 1. The edits I made for this article were mostly copyedits. Some of the definitions and sentence structure did not make sense, so I edited the to make sure that the flow of the article was consistent and easy to read. I edited some subheadings to make it more accurate on what the section was describing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marisajm (talkcontribs) 17:47, 18 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
