Notable Alumni

edit

Lloyd Hill, judging by a quick google, was drafted by the Chicago Bears but released before the season and never played in the NFL. Does he still warrant as notable, or is this school/college padding vanity? Average Earthman 11:53, 26 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Although he's not nationally famous, Lloyd Hill has a ton of local noteriaty. I can't really make a case for him staying or getting left out although I'd say he is 100 times more famous than the karate kid that is listed

Lloyd Hill also had quite a bit of success at Texas Tech University. I would like to think he would still be considered notable to our Permian history. He had all kind of success in 1988-89 playing for Mojo, and is the older half-brother of Roy Williams. I thought he actually had more talent... just didn't get the same exposure or break.

Mojo

edit

I have detailed knowledge of the circumstances that led to the adoption of the "Mojo" slogan, but I don't have a cite for it. Just happen to have been there. Since I don't have a cite, I'm not thinking to add the accurate account, but I'm thinking I should remove what I know to be inaccurate. It was a game with Big Spring, not Abilene, and it had nothing to do with "Go Joe." Would appreciate editorial feedback before I made a change. Jonl (talk) 17:33, 29 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
