Convert

edit

The following convert is currently broken because the unit is not defined (I've used l rather than liter because the former is consistent with other units):

  • {{convert|0.1|μg/l}} → 0.1 micrograms per litre (5.8×10−11 oz/cu in)

That unit can be added, but first please have a look at the density units listed here. The following is available:

  • {{convert|0.01|ug/dL}} → 0.01 micrograms per decilitre (3.6×10−12 lb/cu in)
  • {{convert|0.01|ug/dL|abbr=on}} → 0.01 μg/dL (3.6×10−12 lb/cu in)

If ug/l is wanted (the units tend to be what is easier to type, and "ug" is common, although the proper micro sign is shown in the output), what should be the default output? Johnuniq (talk) 09:21, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

I took the measurement directly from the source. Happy to use ug and dL. If you add ug/l, then lb/cu in seems like the right output. Thanks for noticing. Lfstevens (talk) 15:44, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ideally we would find descriptions of the topic where measurements are given in imperial units, and use whatever they use. Even using oz/cuin gives a very small number:
  • {{convert|0.01|ug/dL|oz/cuin|abbr=on}} → 0.01 μg/dL (5.8×10−11 oz/cu in)
Anyway, that can be sorted out later. Ask at Template talk:Convert if more wanted. Johnuniq (talk) 20:58, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
