OK so what is her real name
editGoogling Peta Toppano, Pieta Toppano and Peita Toppano all turn up numerous references to this individual. The most recent newspaper stories about her seem to use Peta. However, she is the daughter of Enzo Toppano and I believe her real name is Pieta, which is an Italian name.
Also, Australian newspaper seem to think she is currently (2008) aged 52. Which is inconsistent with being born in 1952. Eregli bob (talk) 04:09, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- She is credited in TV serials Prisoner (TV series) and The Young Doctors as Peita(or Pieta?). Later TV roles are credited to "Peta". Format (talk) 23:00, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Toppano found people didn't know how to pronounce her Italian first name accurately, so to avoid confusion she elected to remove the letter 'i' from her name. Early in her career Toppano was indeed credited as 'Peita Toppano' but for many years and to present day is credited as 'Peta'. Source: Peta Toppano, Actress and Singer.
