Mother 'escaped the Nazis' by moving to Vienna'?
editThis may have been Burns' recollection but it may be historically unbelievable that his mother because of her father's Jewish heritage escaped the Nazis by leaving Germany to Vienna, to later (presumably when British troops occupied Austria at close of WWII) meet his British soldier father. Austria was united to Nazi Germany by the Anschluss of 1938 until Nazi Germany fell in 1945, it was home of much 'Aryan' racist thinking that inspired the Nazis, home of many future-wanted Nazi war criminals, and participated in Hitler's anti-Jewish policies. The statement needs qualifying in the light of historical fact. To survive in Vienna a Jewish person would have had to lead an underground existence.Cloptonson (talk) 14:03, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

Change of Name for a Transgender Person
editI noticed that in the Early career and band formation section, there is a mention of "transgender punk performer" Jayne County, but she is referred to by her deadname, Wayne. I understand that this was the name she was using when she was performing at the time, but since she currently goes by Jayne, is there a way to edit this to reflect that? I.e. "Jayne County (known at the time as Wayne County)" or just altogether changing her name to Jayne on here? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stethacanthidae (talk • contribs) 15:24, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
