Hello! I'll be happy to start this review, though it might take a while. You can expect comments within the next few days. FredModulars (talk) 00:43, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Early life and career
edit- Where does it say "he taught for 29 years." (his father)?
- User-generated source tag.
Education
edit- "Buttigieg was valedictorian of the class of 2000 at St. Joseph High School in South Bend." The source doesn't say what year it was.
- Can't find where it says Sanders was "one of only two independent politicians in Congress" in the sources, just that he was the only independent House member.
- "The title of his thesis is also an allusion to American historian Perry Miller's work Errand into the Wilderness." This is never mentioned in the source.
- "He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 2004," I found this in other sources but not the one cited.
- "Buttigieg was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to study at the University of Oxford." where is this mentioned?
Professional career, Military service, Indiana state treasurer election
edit- 404 link to reference 61 (https://www.trumanproject.org/home/team-view/peter-buttigieg).
- 404 link to reference 68 (https://www.wndu.com/home/headlines/Buttigieg-named-to-national-security-organizations-board-259842211.html)
- "Buttigieg has jokingly has referred to this role as 'military Uber'" isn't the same as, "He said he was often assigned the role as driver, which they jokingly referred to as 'military Uber,'" from the source. Pretty sure Buttigieg wasn't referring to himself as the military Uber.
- Can't find, "In order to better communicate with the local Afghans, he learned some Dari (a dialect of the Persian language). Buttigieg was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal." mentioned in the reference.
- Where does it say he resigned from reserve?
Mayor of South Bend, Indiana
editSo, is there any context to this? No campaign or prelude or anything? It seems very abrupt to jump from a career and state treasurer election to "was elected mayor" just like that.
First term
edit- Why is the photo of his 2010 treasurer campaign in the mayoralty? Shouldn't it be in "Indiana state treasurer election"?
- "Buttigieg came under pressure from political opponents to release the tapes, but said that doing so would be a violation of the Wiretap Act." Where is this mentioned?
- "He called for the eradication of racial bias in the police force." Also, where does this come from?
- "The matter currently sits with St. Joseph County Superior Court Judge Steve Hostetler, who could rule on a summary judgement within weeks, although further appeals are expected." The article was published in 2019, any update?
Sorry for the delay in the review process. I'll be finishing the review by the end of the week. FredModulars (talk) 21:06, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
Second term
edit- Was nearly 78% of the vote. Would be better to say it is about 78% or something like that since the article seems like it's saying he won 78% of the vote, which is misleading.

The article is good overall. Please address issues by July 14. Thanks. FredModulars (talk) 04:25, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Result
editThe nominator has not edited the article since June. Review started July 2. Comments began on July 7. I pinged the nominator on July 9, and comments continued until July 10. It is now July 14 and the nominator has never edited the review page nor the article since the GA review started. Unfortunately, I cannot proceed with comments since the nominator seems to be oblivious to the review.
