Opening heading
editShouldn't that be "hanged himself" instead of "hung himself"? See Bartleby's
I've suggested this be merged into Badfinger. See also Talk:Stan Polley, which is a less clear candidate but which got me thinking about the issue. --kingboyk 20:36, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- I vote for a merger. Nearly all of Pete Ham's relevant biographical and musical history is intertwined with Badfinger. ZincOrbie 22:31, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Photo added
editI added a photo of Pete Ham. Although I don't care for this particular photo, it is difficult to find much on him that isn't licensed, or that doesn't include the rest of Badfinger in it. ZincOrbie 19:49, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Article name
editShouldn't this be 'Pete Ham', rather than 'Peter Ham'? His solo albums were released under that name, and the MoS says use the name by which a person is best known. If it's good enough for Bill Clinton... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.7.35.197 (talk • contribs) 17:28, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
Photo
editThe photo is of Joey Molland. Not Ham —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.79.40.113 (talk) 12:52, 23 January 2007 (UTC). Sorry: the photo is right — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.79.40.113 (talk) 13:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
I Give Up
editDustygreen, I realize you want to include as much information as possible on Pete Ham but what you are adding is not at all encyclopedic and much of it is basically opinion.
For example, mentioning Bill Collins by name is irrelevant to Ham's biography. Comments on when Ham's songwriting "came of age" is subjective and not a fact. I have tried to use Associated Press standards in formatting this article but it keeps getting reverted. The Badfinger article is the same way. You may want to look at some professional biographies as a template.--ZincOrbie (talk) 17:40, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Peter Ham → Pete Ham — This man is known as "Pete Ham", see for example his website, see also the note above.--E-Kartoffel (talk) 17:29, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support - seems fair enough; all Amazon refs seem to use "Pete" — Amakuru (talk) 17:22, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Circumstances of death
edit"At the time of his death, his blood alcohol content was estimated to have been 0.27%." has been removed as "not necessary". Is this agreed? Perhaps that percentage needs some kind of explanation? Martinevans123 (talk) 10:18, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- I very much agree. ZincOrbie (talk) 00:15, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Add an image?
editIt seems to me that an image for Ham, as well as Badfinger page itself, would be well advised. Ham was a considerably influential artist in his day, and an image would help increase his recognition among Wikipedia users and, therefore, people in general. Wikipedia is so used by the general populace that not having an image could be seen as diminishing a subject's stature and importance. With that said, Wikipedia's non-free content rules make it pretty clear that images of deceased people are allowed as long as they are not owned by photo agencies such as Getty Images. Using a license filter on Google, I couldn't find any images of Ham specifically licensed for any sort of use, and therefore an alternative, licensed photo is essentially unavailable. Many photos, though, did not seem to be owned and protected by agencies, such as the image featured in the following Google Image search. A previous image of Ham was taken down due to copyright violation, but if one such as this can be found not to violate any rules, perhaps not having an identifiable author, I believe a figure at Ham's level of relevance should probably have one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PerhapsXarb (talk • contribs) 06:02, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
