Notability
editDoes not meet WP:SOLDIER & sig RS coverage not found link, just passing mentions.
Victories achieved on the Eastern Front, where Luftwaffe was flying against poorly trained pilots operating inferior aircraft, so a high number of claims is not remarkable. In any case, "successful completion of missions" (i.e., number of enemy aircraft shot down) is not part of SOLDIER. Did not hold a significant command.
No de.wiki article exists. Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect. In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. The articles of these recipients are being redirected to alphabetical lists. K.e.coffman (talk) 21:52, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- Again, totally ignorant of the historical facts/issues. The Soviets were not inferior, and the technical gap that existed in 1941 and 1942, while significant, was exaggerated.
- Who cares whether it isn't on the German wikipedia.
- He was in the top 30 fighter pilots in history. Notable. End of story. Your behaviour is blatant vandalism. Dapi89 (talk) 06:48, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
