Cleanup April-2007

edit

11-April-2007: I have completed general cleanup for wording, tone, punctuation and links, tagged in July 2006. The archaic use of "repaired" was changed as "moved" to Rome. Article titles were bolded (redirection from "Pierre Favre" and "Pierre Lefevre"). The POV excessive praises from the Catholic Encyclopedia were converted to neutral statements of facts ("thankless task" to "difficult task" etc.). As "Saint" Peter Faber, some veneration still remains in the article, but I think the tone is close to neutral. I am removing the former Wiki tag for "cleanup-July-2006" at this point. -Wikid77 12:52, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Catholic bias

edit

The text, being taken from the Catholic Encyclopediy of 1913 (!!), is still very biased (numerous mentions of Protestantism as "heresy"). With English not being my first language, I have to ask somebody else to write an entirely new text. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.85.122.84 (talk) 21:57, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

languages of name

edit

I'm curious why his name is given in Spanish and not German, or Italian, as well. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 20:14, 2 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
