It seems strange to rely solely on the incomplete ATP records which apparently are extremely incomplete for the pre-1968 era, which means that about 90 years of tennis achievement are excluded from consideration. I think that the pre-1968 ATP records include only the four Grand Slam tournaments, as if the tennis players before 1968 did not compete anywhere except in the Grand Slam events. I would suggest that tennis tournaments prior to 1968 which were officially sanctioned by a representative tennis body such as the ITF or the USLTA should be included in the official tournament count. Is that not already our policy on these tennis bios? Tennisedu (talk) 05:10, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey. My concern was that the data you're adding was not cited to a reliable source, so reverted to official numbers. Where are you getting your w-l records from and is the source reliable? (I have no issue with including this otherwise). Jevansen (talk) 05:29, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
