Fixing this page
editI have started adding more citations and information to this page. Due to the fact that this is a living person, it requires more validated information and I found an article about him on the Store Norske Leksikon (Large Norwegian Encyclopedia) that includes a lot of stuff that backs up some of the info already on this page. That site is written by two editorial staff authors who have master's in Norwegian theater/arts. I have also started reworking the layout of the article. - One other thing I wanted to mention: should I be worried about the fact that most of my information on him is (obviously) coming from sites written in Norwegian being translated by Google? Rylieb leelib (talk) 19:04, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Rylieb leelib, I believe the Film and TV specifically the following;
- In 1980, Næss got his start in the film industry as a representative assistant on two movies about Olsenbanden. Since 1996, he has worked as a film director and project leader at Oslo Nye Teater. In 1999, he debuted with his movie Absolutt blåmandag. Following the success of the movie Elling, Petter Næss went on to work in Hollywood on several different projects. In 2005, he instructed Josh Hartnett, among others, in the American drama-comedy Mozart and the Whale. In 2007, he released the Norwegian comedy Tatt Av Kvinnen;
- Should have more citations, one for each date/fact. CF-501 Falcon (talk) 14:57, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I totally agree! I will try to work on that bit some more. I think a lot of the information on this particular page came originally from the IMDb biography so it all needs to be fact checked. Rylieb leelib (talk) 15:36, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- These may be reputable sources [1] [2] add. Additionally, I noticed there are citation pointing to IMDb. To my knowledge IMDb isn't accepted for citations and is blacklisted. See Wikipedia:Reliable sources and if in doubt ask Wikipedia:Teahouse. CF-501 Falcon (talk) 20:58, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:Teahouse#Petter Næss | IMDb for more details. Cheers CF-501 Falcon (talk) 21:07, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Adding Filmography
editI think a Filmography table should be added in as well, I'm just not sure the best place to find that information since IMDb is not a reliable source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rylieb leelib (talk • contribs) 20:53, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
Translations
editHey Wikipedians, I think this article would benefit from translations of the movie name. If someone could do so that would be fantastic. CF-501 Falcon (talk) 14:51, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
