Address?
editThe New York Times lists the address as 647 Broadway ( http://documents.nytimes.com/walt-whitman-and-abraham-lincoln page 12 on the document), while PBS says it's 653 Broadway (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/whitman/map/1.html ). Anyone know of more definitive sources? Cheers, Mabuse (talk) 14:28, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
Looks like it may have been 647 through 1862, and then 653 from at least 1865 onward. Source: Literature of New York, ed. Sabrina Fuchs-Abrams, "Whitman at Pfaff's", p. 14. http://www.c-s-p.org/flyers/978-1-4438-1242-9-sample.pdf Tempest67 (talk) 05:57, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
The section about the 2010 restaurant called Pfaff's is just an advertisement, since it has no real connection with the original except the location.108.1.119.163 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 19:43, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
Ada Clare, Adah Isaacs Menkin confusion
editThis article gives the impression that these two women were one and the same. They weren't though they both died at an early age. I don't know if they were both habitues of Pfaff's. They both have separate Wikipedia articles.
This needs to be fixed!Ed (talk) 11:03, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
Yes, apparently both were "Pfaffians". see below:
