tankervilleae is the right spelling (1788), tancarvilleae IS THE VARIANT SPELLING (1789).
Name change
editThe World Checklist of Selected Plant Families lists Phaius tankervilleae var. australis[1] as one of two varieties of Phaius tankervilleae occurring in Australia, the other being Phaius tankervilleae var. bernaysii.[2] There is already an article for the former variety, since Phaius australis is no longer recognised. I propose to rename the present artice (Phaius tankervilleae) as (Phaius tankervilleae var. bernaysii) but request feedback from other authors before doing so.
