Scotland eligibility

edit

I wanna know, how did Bardsley become eligible to play for Scotland? Any sources? Ario_ManUtd 9 September 2007, 13:45 (UTC)

His dad, Tony, was orginally from Glasgow - Phil is also eligable for Ireland. 167.1.176.4 (talk) 06:58, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually, his dad is not from Glasgow. Phil's grandparents was in Glasgow when Tony (Phil's dad) decided to make an early appreance. Tony was born in Glasgow and stayed there a week (in hospital) and then returned the Salford after they his grandmother was released from hospital. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.96.40.221 (talk) 13:34, 17 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have made an edit. In the section "International career", someone had misleadingly written "He qualifies through his father's line coming from Glasgow." This is the opposite of the truth - as one editor comments above, his father's family is as English as the name Bardsley suggests, and he happened to be born in Glasgow during a family visit. He has never lived in Scotland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.172.31.70 (talk) 02:17, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Phil Bardsley

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Phil Bardsley's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "2016/17":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 01:02, 16 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
