Typewritten letter in 1829?
editThe letter from Dimmitt to Sam Austin is typewritten -- supposedly in 1829. A cursory search (on Wikipedia) shows that the first patent for a 'typewriter' in the USA was taken out by William Austin Burt in 1829, it doesn't seem that he had a working example of the device in that year, much less one commercially sold. I wonder what is the explanation for this anachronism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.69.166.246 (talk) 15:51, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
